The Chineese smartphone manufacturer, Xiaomi is all set to launch the much-anticipated Mi 5 on April 6th 2016. The Mi 5 will be available in India via flash sales on Mi.com, no registrations will be required for the first sale. Xiaomi unveiled the Mi 5 in India on 31th March at a press event held in New Delhi.
Talking about the specs, the specs, the Xiaomi Mi 5 features a 5.15-inch 1080p display, 1.8GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 (MSM8996) 64-bit Quad-core processor paired with Adreno 530 GPU. It packs in 3GB RAM and 32GB/64GB (UFS 2.0) of inbuilt storage. The device runs on MIUI 7 based on Android Marshmallow, and it has backed by a 3000mAh battery that supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0.
On the camer front, the Mi 5 sports a 16MP F2.0 primary camera (Sony IMX298 sensor) with Dual LED flash and 4MP F2.0 front-facing camera with 80-degree wide angle lens. It comes with a fingerprint sensor and also infrared sensor onboard.
It supports Dual SIM (Nano + Nano), 4G LTE with VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (dual-band) MIMO, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, NFC, USB Type-C and USB OTG. It measures 144.55 x 69.2 x 7.25 mm and weighs 129 grams.

For now, only the 32GB variant of the Mi 5 will be up for sale which is priced at INR 24999 (US $375). Xiaomi also offers Mi Protect at the check out for INR 499, which safeguards your Mi 5 against any Damage. The Xiaomi Mi 5 will be available in Black, White and Gold color options.
