Pokemon GO to launch in India Soon!

Pokemon-GO-India

Everyone is still wondering when Pokemon Go will launch here in India and all the more so now that there are reports that the Japan launch has been delayed and sadly.

Latest reports today indicate that a global release for the game is imminent over the next few days, specially after its launch in Japan and Hong Kong. There were speculations of whether the game will launch first in South America or Asia. If the game would have launched in South America first, it would have meant that Indian would have to wait longer for the game. But, since the game entered Asia first, an official Indian launch looks imminent.

Latest reports also revealed, citing official sources, that the rest of the Asian countries including India, Singapore, Malaysia and China, as well as the rest of the world, would be receiving the game either this week or in the next week.

Website MMO Server Status also revealed that several Asian countries including India, Singapore, Japan and Indonesia have been added to the Pokemon Go server list in the last few hours.

The new servers added to the list includes India,, China, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, Turkey, Taiwan, Argentina, Brazil and Chile,

Sadly, we don't have any official status just yet, though we still have our fingers crossed that the game will officially launch in India real soon.

Prisma for Android Now Available to Download

Prisma

There is no introduction required for the photo-filter app Prisma. The app has created a name for itself around the world within weeks of its release despite being available for just one platform - iOS - till now. The developers behind the tremendously successful app have now released the app on Google's mobile platform and Android users can get their hands on the app directly through Google Play.

Last week, the app was made available for Android but was still in beta phase and was only available through registration on Prisma's website. However, only select users were able to get links to the app.

The basic concept behind Prisma is fairly simple and it is not something that has not been tried before. The app makes images look like paintings "using the styles of famous artists: Munk, Picasso as well as world famous ornaments and patterns," as per its description on Google Play. The app has been downloaded around over 10.6 million times just on iOS and has around 1.55 million daily active users.

The app has seen a great start at Google Play store as well; however, there are several users who are complaining that the app lacks the 'Save' option that is available on its iOS counterpart and that the 'Save artworks automatically' feature doesn't work.

Despite these complaints, the app has already received favorable ratings on the Google Play Store and is seen as a serious threat to other photo-filter apps that are available for the mobile platform.

A recent update to the app now features the "Save" option that was available on its iOS counterpart.

Want to try Pokemon Fishing? Here's how to get started!

Pokemon-Fishing

Attention Pokemon Go players! Your life has been taken over by trying to locate Pokestops and Gyms so that you can get a hold of items and train your Pokemon. Turns out there is actually a key of sorts that can help you in your quest.

And the key lies in an earlier game that was developed by Niantic, the makers of Pokeman. When Niantic was part of Google, it had developed a game called Ingress which is also a map based reality game. In Ingress, players had to create portals to capture locations. And, since Pokemon Go is based on Ingress so, in Pokemon Go, Gyms and Pokestops have replaced those portals. Which means you will find Portals and Pokestops/Gyms at the exact same location in both Ingress and Pokemon Go. Not only that the gameplay of Pokemon Go is a lot similar to Ingress.

In Ingress "Exotic Matter" seeps into Earth through portals in order to cover the whole earth with this matter. There are two teams, Green team tries to collect already leaked out Exotic Matter by collecting them through clusters and taking over portals and study it, whereas Blue team tries to do the same in order to destroy it and save humanity from potential alien chemical attack.

Now, Ingress has a Web Map where you can see portals laid out all across the world and since these are also the locations for Pokestops/Gyms you can easily reference this map to check out if there are possible Pokestops and Gyms 10km away from your home or in any other country, or how many possible Pokestops/Gyms are there in your friends locality.

Pokemon-Fishing

You can see the portals by signing into your Ingress account and going to the website. If you don't have the Ingress app you can sign up at the website and download it. And then it is easy, you can see the spots on the map which will guide you to a Pokestop or a Gym.

Now comes the interesting part! Pokemon fishing! Pokemon fishing is very similar to real fishing. In normal fishing to know the region where the probability of finding a particular type of fish is higher than the other. Similarly, in Pokemon fishing, we can go to certain region and fish for a certain type of Pokemon. This is also the reason why a lot of people catch Ratata, Piegy or Zubat, because they don't know that they are in their fishing zone and also because they are large in numbers.

Coming back to the game, Ingress helps you to find the Pokemon as well. One hint is the rustling of leaves on the map but many times a Pokemon doesn't appear at that spot. Rather, you can see the Ingress app and see the heat map on it to see where you can locate Pokemons. That heat map is nothing but Exotic Matter cluster (those cluster of tiny white dots on the map). So, in other words, if you see a Pokemon with one footstep, instead of running wildly over random places near you, open the Ingress app and rush over to the nearest Exotic Matter cluster. We have tried it over a week and it works every time! By the way, rustling of leaves also occur at locations with most Exotic Matter cluster.

Pokemon-Fishing

This also means that finding a rare pokemon has become a lot easier. Suppose if someone has caught Gyarados near Statue of Liberty then from now on you won't be running around Statue of Liberty like a wild chicken instead you will open Ingress and look for a spot with most Exotic Matter cluster near Statue of Liberty and fish out Gyarados.

Unfortunately, you won't find Exotic Matter in the Ingress World Map! Overall Ingress is a well built and thought of game. We enjoyed a lot playing Ingress too. We also encourage you to play Ingress and let us know if you find any similarities too between Ingress and Pokemon Go!

There is an app called Poke-Radar which help you to Spot/Mark locations where a particular Pokemon was caught by you/someone.

PRO TIP: Do not go after already evolved wild Pokemons like Charizard, as they will be much weaker. Instead, hatch a Charmander from a 5km egg and then evolve it to Charizard. Believe us the difference will be huge between the two Charizard!

Pokemon Go has broken all the records. It has been downloaded more than Tinder and it has taken over Twitter in terms of daily active users. Many business are using Pokestops and Gyms to entice patrons. There is talk of sponsored gyms being placed in McDonald's eateries. Businesses are also using lures to get more customers by generating Pokemon around the store for, say, half an hour.

Gamers are playing Pokemon Go for an average of 43 minutes per day which is more than the average daily usage of WhatsApp, Snapchat, Instagram, and Facebook messenger. The augmented reality-based game is on the course to beat Snapchat and even Google maps in terms of the daily active users.

How to check Pokémon Go Server Status? Here's how you can!

How-to-check-Pokémon-Go-Server-Status

Pokémon Go has become such a worldwide phenomenon that when its servers experience problems, it's a disaster for Pokétrainers everywhere. And since the game launched in 26 new countries over the weekend, coupled with alleged cyber attacks from a couple of hacking collectives, the server issues which have plagued the game since it launched have been worse than ever.

But since the problems have been so frequent, it's often hard to tell whether the servers have completely crashed, or it's a problem with your own connection. Luckily, there is help at hand in the form of a number of websites that will tell you whether the Go servers are up, down, unstable, when they went down, and a log of issues in the past few hours to a past few days.

Since being launched in New Zealand, Australia, and the US, Pokémon Go has suffered numerous server issues. The game was released in the UK last week, with 26 other countries being added to the list on Saturday, and Canada getting the game on Monday – adding to the server woes.

The game's combination of real-world maps and augmented reality gameplay has proved incredibly popular among mobile gamers. Pokémon Go has now been downloaded more than 15 million times and is already on more than 10% of Android phones.

We have monitored a lot of websites which informs you about Pokémon Go server status and outage and shortlisted these five for you!

1. Pokémon GO - Server Status

How-to-check-Pokémon-Go-Server-Status

Pokémon GO - Server Status website is the simplest of all. It updates every minute and lets you know whether Pokémon Go's servers are online, offline or unstable. To remind you Pokémon Go currently works on two types of servers. One for Pokémon Trainers Club's account login and the other one for Google account login. The website also offers notification service to let you know when the servers go back online, if enabled. Unfortunately, the notification service doesn't work on mobile devices right now.

This is a pretty neat, simple and straight forward website designed specially for non-technical people who know nothing about server uptime and latency and are just concerned about a simple answer to their question. If you are one of them, then you should definitely bookmark this website.

2. Is Pokémon Go Down or Not

How-to-check-Pokémon-Go-Server-Status

Is Pokémon Go Down or Not is a website designed for technical individuals who know technical know-how about servers. This website offers a lot of information about the game's efficiency.

First value shows whether the server health is Ok or Critical. Ok means the servers are doing fine and Critical means the servers may go down any second from now.

Next, it shows server uptime for past 24 hours and 4 hours respectively. The values are in percentage, so if the value shows 99% it means the server were up and working for the past 24/4 hours from now.

Then comes Login Queries in US and Europe, again OK means you can login with no issues whereas Critical indicates Login Issues.

Then comes Current Server Latency. Server Latency in simple words mean that the time duration taken by server to receive, process and return information from and back to the user. So, the values are generally in mili seconds. A Current Server Latency of 500 ms indicates that it takes half a second to receive, process and return information from and back to the user. In simple words a slow server. A value less than 250 ms indicates a fast server.

The best part of this website is that it tells you whether you should place Lures/Incense or not. The value is again in percentage wich indicates the percentage of benefit you can gain by placing a 30 minute Lure/Incense.

After that comes Login Wait Time. This is displayed in seconds, which tells you how long you have to wait before you can successfully log into the game.

The last two parameters on the website are just graphical form of server uptime and latency values displayed in percentage for the past 24 and 4 hours.

3. MMO Server Status

How-to-check-Pokémon-Go-Server-Status

MMO Server Status is another useful website which tells you whether specifically server of your country is hit or other countries as well. This can also be used to monitor the launch of the game in future countries as well. If you see new server being added to the list this means the game is just about to launch in that country.

4. Pokémon Go Outage Map

How-to-check-Pokémon-Go-Server-Status

Pokémon Go Outage Map as the name suggests informs you with live Pokémon Go Outage Map it shows you specific region which are hit by server down time and outages instead of geeky server stats.

5. Pokémon Go Outage Stats

How-to-check-Pokémon-Go-Server-Status

Pokémon Go Outage Stats is offered by the same website which offers Pokémon Go Outage Map. This website shows reports of Pokémon Go issues reported by users in the past 24 hours. We thought of including this website in the list as we found the stats shown on this website accurate and it also lets you report issues as well.

That's it for this post, for now, we will keep you updated as we find more information about Pokémon Go servers issues. Till then, stay tuned for more updates! Do Share your Thoughts in the Comments section below and Do Not forget to Check Out our Trending Now section!
